POSICIÓ ACTUAL

Director científic. El meu paper a l'ICO és impulsar projectes de recerca que permetin avançar en el coneixement de l'estat de les poblacions d'ocells i en les causes que les afecten. En aquest sentit, la recerca fonamentada en les dades aportades pels projectes de monitoratge i, molt especialment, l'enfocada al desenvolupament de bioindicadors són la meva activitat principal. Des de l'any 2007 represento a la nostra entitat com a delegat d'Espanya a l'European Bird Census Council. Soc responsable dels diversos proyectes de seguiment i atles que coordina l’ICO i dóno suport al d’altres entitats.  Des del 2013 sóc un dels dos coordinadors del Nou Atles dels ocells nidificants d’Europa. Entre els projectes de recerca, participo en el projecte de la Unió Europea EUBON, de construcción de la Xarxa Europea d’Observació de la Biodiversitat. A nivell local soc responsable científic de la Reserva de la Biosfera-Parc Natural del Montseny de la Xarxa Internacional de Recerca Ecològica a Llarg Termini LTER.
